The Album Leaf return with the announcement of a new cohesive collection of works, and unveil a first track off it, originally written by the project's main creative force, Jimmy LaValle, and mixed by Joshua Eustis of Telefon Tel Aviv.
Future Falling is an atmospheric and fragile number with interesting textures and a plethora of mystifying intrigue, connecting The Album Leaf to the electronic post rock path in which they thrive while also adding a touch of subtle neoclassicism.
Jimmy LaValle unfolds: "Future Falling is an old song. I wrote it back in 2015, it was one of the first songs I wrote post Between Waves. But it represents the direction I have gone sonically, tonally and creatively. If you’ve seen me play solo in recent years, you may have heard a version of it performed. The song has evolved over the last 7 years but still feels new to me. It was mixed by Joshua Eustis an artist and friend who releases music most notably as Telefon Tel Aviv. He worked with me on Into The Blue Again back in 2007 and I have always loved his sonic palette and mixing style. This is one of many, many songs that I have been sitting on and am excited for you all to hear it."
