After being introduced with a couple of great standalone track releases, Swedish underground black metal act, Lightlorn, release These Nameless Worlds, a four track EP of beautiful, expansive, cosmic black metal.
The EP's closing track, Stargazing in the Abyss, is a nearly nine-minute cut that takes a bleaker and darker creative approach, and exposes the project's progressivity with elements from post metal, post punk, and shoegaze integrated properly into its overall encapsulating fluidity.
Quite majestic and emotive as a whole, These Nameless Worlds is a restless release which doesn't pin itself down to any specific motifs. Instead, it follows its intrinsic nature, observing the world's and existence's vastness with awe and fascination.
