Canadian darkwave/post punk duo, Ringfinger, return with Chamber of Roses, their atmospheric new single, characterized by a danceable sound founded on cold synthesizers, EDM rhythms, propulsive bass, and arpeggiated guitars. The song is a follow up to the August 2022 release of the impressive single, Familiar Placement, and comes ahead of the band's 2023 debut album, In A Black Frame.
The music video for Chamber of Roses, directed by Marcel Vincent Lafonde, correlates the song's concepts of loss and grieving through the perspective of a mid-century black and white folk-horror film.
The new single, with an undeniable pitch black, gothic identity, is a lyrically nuanced and emotionally driven number which comes across as downright rhythmical and attractive, fit for the murky dance floor as well as brooding, recurring private listening sessions.
