Silver Ossuary is an atmospheric black metal act from North Georgia, surfacing with a pretty experiential, forceful take on traditional black metal, following the patterns of the early Cascadian black metal scene. The project's music is taking a more textural route, sounding less belligerent, with longer compositional progression, and folk nuances.
Blood Mountain Fog is part of the project's enticing debut release, Morning, composed of two tracks wrapped up in complete darkness.
Most sections of the seven and a half-minute piece have very clear melodic bases, and are very guitar powered but not particularly riff-driven. The harmony guitar parts of the track were written while spending time in the fog at the top of Blood Mountain in the Appalachian mountain range, lending to the song's authenticity and individuality.
