Portland's Snailbones have had a very productive time window during and after the pandemic, releasing a pair of very enjoyable albums and making the rounds as a fine fresh noise rock/heavy grunge act.
The band is preparing to record their next album in Chicago with the great Steve Albini in March 2023.The dynamic Nacho Song, which the band previewed live at their recent session at the Bridge City Sessions studio, is an early example of that forthcoming record.
Snailbones describe that the song is "about a pug that recently passed away," and it comes forth with a biting sound which combines Bleach-era Nirvana and early Mudhoney with the post punk causticity of Protomartyr or Priests.
