Unsafe, a fresh post hardcore band from Nantes, France, stands out for their strong emotional expression in both songwriting and performance. MINT, the band's debut single, is a fiery song with a lot of intensity and a compellingly sentimental effectiveness.
"Written during the winter lockdown of 2021 in a family chalet in the French Alps, MINT tells the story of my experience losing my dad to cancer. It's a heavy and emotional track, made even more so by the fact that my grandfather also passed away at the same age. By screaming about how the 19 year old me watched his father as the disease took hold, and how he couldn't hear 'Dad' at the end, I was able to come to terms with what I went through. The raw emotion in the lyrics and the heavy riffs and production capture the intensity of this journey."
MINT was home recorded, and mixed and mastered by Fabien Deveau. It is the first example of the three-song EP, COULEURS, which will be released at the early part of 2023.
