Experimental alternative act Sudden Voices, led by Ben Morris, follow up their recent single Way of the World with new song, Milk and Honey, all part of the project's self-titled debut album which will be released on April 14th, 2023.
The song's lush, analog psychedelia fluctuates in peculiar surges, and is driven by a moving groove, coming across as a refined combination between contemporary jazz and krautrock sounds. The song's lyrics refer to how second guessing time misspent only worsens with age. Inevitably, the willingness to accept the reality of one's shifting circumstances, seems to be the best way to find closure and a path forward.
Morris also created the accompanying video, which is based on animated imagery influenced by post-war designers like Josef Müller-Brockmann, Armin Hofmann, and Saul Bass. The VHS glitching gives the video a vintage and analogue feel which matches the song's emotionality.
