Hood Rats describe themselves "three broke rock and rollers playing punk rock and singing the blues in Montreal." They have just put out their new release, Deep Cuts, their singles collection composed of tracks from 2018-2019.
Off Drugs And Miserable is a frantic hardcore punk rocker, based on a true story. "If you've ever fallen victim to the grips of addiction you'll understand kicking a bad habit is no walk in the park," Hood Rats comment.
Lyrically acute and musically attacking, the song perfectly characterizes the band's punk-fueled rock 'n' roll and ethos, recalling staples like Motörhead, Bad Brains and Circle Jerks among others.
