NYC solo electronic/darkwave act, Rare DM, the nom de plume of musician Erin Hoagg, releases new single, Hotel Jacuzzi, and prepares to embark on a European tour, which is followed by a tour across Mexico in May 2023 supporting Drab Majesty.
"Hotel Jacuzzi is a song about dreams, desire, manifestation, love, VS dark side of luxury - voyeurism, greed, not appreciating what you have," the artist describes. The song was produced in Rare DM's home studio with analog gear; Juno 60, sds9.
Much like with relatively recent singles Naomi and Rolex, Rare DM taps into the most enticing side of darkwave, synthpop and dance pop, combining intriguing melodies with moody sounds in an all around expertly executed production. The result is as vibrant as it is inviting and solemn, as Hoagg's musicianship continues to be characterized by severity, fragility, and intimacy.
