Shop Talk are a punk trio from Brooklyn, New York. The band arrives with a sound which embodies the essence of early genre pioneers while offering a unique and original perspective.
The Offering, their first EP, delves into themes of romance, sacrificial rituals, and military experiments which affect the mind. The EP was recorded on two-inch tape by the esteemed producer Travis Harrison, known for his work with Guided By Voices.
Black Friar, a track from the new EP, showcases a vibrant and atmospheric punk sound reminiscent of the raw energy of Dead Boys and the directness of The Heartbreakers. It boasts impressive guitar craftsmanship and passionate vocals, all laid over a gritty foundation which adds to its restiveness.
The Offering features artwork by Alexander Heir (Death/Traitors, L.O.T.I.O.N. Multinational Corporation), and was released on Mon Amie Records (Q Lazzarus).
