Heavy rockers, Besra, release their new single, Sentinels, a preview of their upcoming album, Transitions, expected out via Suicide Records. The track is accompanied by a very well made music video and finds the band raising up the fierceness and dynamism in their musical style, mingling their post rock and post metal sensibilities with a more sludgy and progressive approach.
Ville Kaisla, the band's drummer, comments on the track and its accompanying video: "The song is on the heavier side of the album, so we absolutely wanted to make a powerful playing video for it. On the other hand, the lyrical side of Sentinels also conveys a strong sense of frustration, making it feel very natural to add a visual narrative to it. The song itself is a story about the deterioration of human behavior and its negative effects on our environment. This has led to us losing both the connection and appreciation for nature and ourselves. We wanted to contribute our thoughts to maintain this important discussion.”
Transitions will be released on September 29th, 2023. The album was mixed and mastered by Cult of Luna's Magnus Lindberg.
