Hills to Height, a New York City-based alternative rock group, originated as a solo creative outlet for Mike Dautner, coming from Brooklyn, NY (originally Long Island, NY). Since 2010, Hills to Height have gone through a succession of members, mainly consisting of close friends, who have come and gone within the lineup, all the while preserving its collaborative model.
The band's most recent single, If I Bend, is a dynamic and energetic guitar-driven rocker featuring rich melodies and soaring vocals. The song makes a significant impact, drawing influence from the alternative rock sounds of the nineties and 2000s. It creates a pretty engaging journey as it relies on a solid shoegaze foundation, and is characterized by strong production and a palpable surge of vitality.
