Sextile have revealed a set of tracks from their upcoming album, Push, and all of these songs highlight the band's renewed energy, a band which has reemerged all reinvigorated. The most recent release from the highly awaited album is the single and accompanying video for the song Crash, which possesses an engrossing quality.
“Crash is a short synopsis of the human experience,” Sextile describe. “You are suddenly born into this world, moving, dancing, falling, rising through time. Nothing is defined but many will say it is. It’s what you do with that information, those movements, those experiences that matter. However, we can not deny, that sometimes, we may wander too far and it is another human, in their experience, that reels you back in.”
While retaining their distinct punk and post punk influences which are clearly evident in their songwriting, Sextile also venture into adjacent genres and explore bolder sounds with elegance and finesse. The outcome thus far is quite enchanting.
