Iceblynk are a Queens, NY-based quartet, and they bring forth a finely crafted, melodious sound which draws its roots from the mellower side of shoegaze and dreampop. The band has released their single, Enter the Sky, through 5BC, the record label founded by shoegaze icons, The Veldt.
Skillfully layered, mesmerizing, and dreamy guitar work is complemented by a rhythmic bassline and drum arrangement, as the distinctive vocals stir up an introspective journey which culminates in a dynamic chorus. The vocals seamlessly blend with the solid instrumental foundation of the track, creating a dreamlike and harmonious composition.
The recording of Enter the Sky took place at the analog studio owned by Alex Garcia-Rivera, the drummer from American Nightmare. The track represents the first collaborative effort of the band's new lineup.
Iceblynk are made up of Andrea Lynn (vocals), and brothers Martin (guitars, bassVI, keyboards), James Newman (bass) and Adam Sadowsky (drums).
Andrea Lynn say that the new song is about “the push and pull of our desire against the fear of the unknown; and hope that in the end it wasn’t all for nothing before we exit this reality and enter the sky.”
