Noise rockers Down The Less team up with producer Jesse Gander (Brutus, Japandroids) for the release of the new EP, DIRT, expected to come out on May 3rd, 2024. Douse is the first example from the impending release, finding the band in a purely dynamic mode.
Douse goes into ideas surrounding the diminishing creative drive experienced by artists in recent times, examining topics such as mental health and the determination to endure despite challenges.
Musically, the song adopts a more intense grunge style which complements the weighty subject matter, with the freshly reformed trio of Laura Lee Schultz, Andy Ashley, and Chris Carlson delivering an overall emphatic and emotive piece.
