Post metal up and comers, Gavran, return with new track, Nastavi, a massive track which the band considers to be the culmination of the five years their creative existence as a group. The new song is part of Ocean of Silence, a new split EP between Gavran and Svjetlost, the new doom solo project helmed by their drummer and vocalist Jamie.
The self release of Ocean of Silence follows Gavran's acclaimed second album Indistinct Beacon, which came out on dunk!records in 2022, with the support of genre veterans Tim de Gieter (Amenra, Doodseskader) and Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Oathbreaker).
Nastavi is themed on the introspective exploration of the human psyche, challenging its inherent boundaries, therefore its weightiness on many levels is undeniable.
Produced by Marius Prins of Throwing Bricks and recorded within their own rehearsal space in Rotterdam, the EP was then mixed and mastered by Tim de Gieter at Much Luv Studio, the same venue where their previous albums were recorded. The artwork for the EP is done by Joost Vervoort from the Dutch black metal band Terzij de Horde.
