Following a string of initial demos and single releases, punk rockers from Jackson, Mississippi, Clitter Critters, make a comeback with their new self-titled EP. Comprising four tracks, the release is a showcase of the band's unfiltered sound, energetic performances, and straightforward approach, heavily influenced by riot grrrl aesthetics and attitude, along with a strong sense of individuality.
The EP kicks off with Sex Magic, a song that encapsulates a blend of disillusionment, and vulnerability, challenging the standards which surround relationships. Infused with sarcasm and a touch of self-observation, the song carries a notably provocative tone, and at the same time shows signs of fragility. Marked by a sharp interplay of vulnerability and cynicism, this is punk rock at its core.
