Paris-based American artist Julia Gaeta has unveiled the lead single from the upcoming EP, Blur Divine, set to be released on July 2nd, 2024, under La Carte Records. The majority of the EP was produced by Alex DeGroot.
Gaeta characterizes the content of the new project as 'unlove songs,' which explore themes of intimacy, distorted realities, and altered perspectives. The EP is composed of five tracks which narrate the workings of caring for another, often leading to a fragile balance between self-preservation and sacrificing for the them, where impassiveness becomes a necessary act to restore stability.
Coming forward with an take on dark pop moodiness alongside elements of post punk, dreampop, and industrial textures, Blur Divine achieves an inspiriting synthesis of lushness and grittiness, crafting a broodingly affecting ambiance.
