Following their first single A Foretold Ecstasy, which honed their distinctive mix of post punk, shoegaze, and psychedelia into a more detailed and precise sound, Norwegian band Mayflower Madame's latest release immediately stands out with its fine blend of pulsing bass lines, motorik drums, and mesmerizing guitars.
The track, a deeply emotional and wistful piece exploring concepts of addiction and escapism, is accompanied by a video directed by visual artist Astrid Serck. The video features collage animations and symbolic imagery, bringing together expressionism and surrealism.
Mayflower Madame's third album, Insight, will be released on November 1st, 2024, through the labels Night Cult Records, Up In Her Room, and Icy Cold Records.
