Triple Double is the latest track release from the Los Angeles-based slowcore/post rock quartet Bondo. The song will appear on the band's upcoming album, Harmonica, set to come out on October 18th, 2024.
The song was recorded live to tape while drummer Cook Lee-Chobanian was recovering from a torn ACL, an injury sustained during a basketball game at LA Fitness. According to the band, "it's about lacing your entire paycheck on a pickup game of basketball and losing."
While maintaining Bondo's signature slow-burning style, Triple Double stands out with its directness and raw emotion, enhanced by the live recording approach. The result is a great track which feels both expressive and deeply sentimental.
