State Power: The Year of the Harvest

Dutch hardcore band State Power is set to release their new EP The Year of the Harvest, leading with the dynamic title track. It is an intense hardcore song with strong lyrics which tells a story of influence and approaching change.

In the song, the "year of the harvest" is an analogy for a pivotal turning point, signifying a moral conflict against more ominous tendencies and emphasizing the conflict between rebellion and authority. The track establishes the mood for the entire EP with its enticing account and genuine energy.

According to the band: "Crises and large-scale suffering, are a given in this capitalist and imperialist order. Fascists will try to convince people that they are incompatible with one another, that the love we feel in our hearts is irrational. But if we plant the seed of compassion now, and nurture it, we will eventually reap the harvest."
