D//E Premiere: Abandoncy: Night Drive ft. Eugene S. Robinson

Kansas City, MO heavy noise rockers Abandoncy return, and this time they join forces with a genre great. The band's new offering Night Drive features Eugene S. Robinson of Oxbow fame. The track is part of their upcoming third full-length, Assailable Agonism, which arrives in its entirety on September 20th, 2024 from The Ghost is Clear Records, Learning Curve Records, and Vina Records.

Night Drive closes the impending album with a resounding conclusion, perfectly exhibiting the whole work's intense energy. Driven by a hardcore mentality and a sharp sense of urgency, the album runs just under 19 minutes, carrying the weight of a short yet fierce haunting of one's inner world.

The song starts with a melodic introduction to gradually unravel into a deranged progression. Once again, the band strikes a perfect balance between melody and extreme heaviness, delivering a dynamic and emotionally charged sound.

Night Drive leaves a strong impression, centering on themes of remorsefulness, introspection, and self-deceit, along with the inescapability of inner struggles. Combined with its powerful sound, these elements create an overall memorable piece of noise rock / post hardcore grittiness.

Abandoncy consists of Damian Fisher on guitar and vocals, Lincoln Peterson on bass and vocals, and Morgan Reed Greenwood on drums. Night Drive arrives with a video directed by Blake Watowa & Alix Calon.
