HOLY WATER, an electronic darkwave and post punk duo from Los Angeles, was founded in 2019 by Jacob Desrochers and Ian Smith. The project was created by the two artists with the intention to combine their passion for heavy, dance-driven beats with the enchanting sound of shoegaze guitars.
Their latest single, In Perfection, from the album Tides, is a solid fusion of post punk, goth, and industrial influences, delivering a sound which is both melodic and punchy.
HOLY WATER's Jacob Desrochers describes: “In Perfection was written out of a false narrative I navigate around getting edgy when things don’t go my way. The criticism we apply to others is often a direct reflection of our own behaviors we are unable to accept.”
