Taleen Kali: Cupid Come

Shoegaze punks Taleen Kali have unveiled a melancholic, feminine, and heated cover of My Bloody Valentine's Cupid Come, originally featured on the 1988 album Isn't Anything. This new rendition serves as the second single from the band's upcoming covers EP, set to release early next year.

The song gets a revamp in Taleen Kali's rendition with strong, confident vocals which alternate between shimmering and intense, layered over intense breakbeat drums and swirling, atmospheric guitars. The outcome is a somber take on the classic which brings out the potency of the original song, while the band's overall aesthetic is reflected in the release's eerie, dreamy approach.

Taleen Kali is set to perform at the Dum Dum Records three-year anniversary show in Los Angeles on October 5th, 2024.
