Hamburg musician and producer Elinor Lüdde's solo act, CORECASS, continues to evolve, delivering an all around rich and immersive sound. The project's highly anticipated album, TAR, set to be released via Moment of Collapse Records and Sacer Rec., brings forward a genre-blurring style, consisting of eight fervent tracks which seamlessly fuse dark ambient, post rock, neoclassical, and electronica elements, giving way to an evocative creative direction.
Featuring notable guest appearances from Colin H. van Eeckhout (Amenra, CHVE), Ercüment Kasalar (MOOR), and Barbara Lüdde, TAR explores profound themes of existential despair and personal growth. CORECASS alternate between minimalist arrangements and expansive soundscapes which delineate both the contrasts and compositional maturity within the music.
The album's first single and title track, TAR, sets the tone by going rather deep into the dark which serves as the thematic core of the entire full length. The song is a hauntingly genuine endeavor, blending classical influences with modern textures, and rather than offering a sense of accomplishment, it embraces the acknowledgment of one’s inner darkness, revealing an effective path to understanding.
