Fin del Mundo: Devenir paisaje

Fin del Mundo, formed in 2019 in Buenos Aires with deep roots in the southern Patagonia region (Tierra del Fuego and Chubut), blends post rock, dreampop, and shoegaze to create a distinct sound which delineates their growing potential in the indie scene.

In 2023, the band released Todo va hacia el mar, a compilation of their two previous EPs. They have just followed it up with their brand new studio album, Hicimos crecer un bosque, out through Spinda Records.

Devenir paisaje, a standout number on the new record, encapsulates the band's individual dreamy, gazey sound while introducing new influences from Midwest emo and guitar-driven indie rock. Fin del Mundo push their boundaries by significantly raising the BPM and using overdrive throughout, suggesting a bold, new direction for the group.

The band reveals that the song's "lyrics speak about a disconnect between two people—hoping that someone will be there for you during a difficult time and feeling like they weren’t, which causes deep pain as you feel disconnected from that bond, even though you know that you’ll be there for that person no matter what."
