LEYA is a duo composed of harpist Marilu Donovan and vocalist/violinist Adam Markiewicz. Their music blends medieval-inspired sounds with modern folk, classical, and pop influences, while central to LEYA's style is a custom harp tuning, created by Donovan, paired with Markiewicz’s wide, operatic vocal range and layered violin effects.
The duo's new album, I Forget Everything, is their first studio work since Eyeline from 2022 and their first solo project since Flood Dream (2020). With their new music, LEYA make a return to the project's foundational sound, venturing into new creative paths with electronic production. Blending home recordings with studio-grade audio, the new record veers toward bold experimentation, and at the same time remains grounded in LEYA's signature ways of harp, strings, and voice.
The track Corners is accompanied by a self-directed video created together with videographer wally. The song intertwines flowing harp with misty strings, channeling a bold and quite artistic style. Markiewicz’s voice takes center stage, narrating a story of toxic love. LEYA gracefully expands their sound into new, open landscapes, blending orchestral richness with vocal mastery to create a distinct and enticing fusion.
