Coilguns: Bunker Vaults

Swiss noise rock band Coilguns has returned with their daring new album, Odd Love. The new release is packed with standout tracks which highlight the band's versatility and fearless genre-blending approach. Album closer, Bunker Vaults, is a powerful exhibition of Coilguns' intensity and skill, demonstrating the stark contrasts that define their sound. From chaotic noise rock to more intricate directions, the song shows the essence of a band unafraid to redefine expectations.

This track, more than any other, benefited from Scott Evans' experience and guidance. After recording it and letting it sit for a few days, during one of our morning meetings, Scott suggested rewriting a part of the song, saying, "You can do better, I know you can." I then locked myself away—though not for very long—and came back with a new section, which we arranged together and re-recorded. This song, and especially that section that closes the album, is, for us, one of the, if not the climax of this record,” says guitarist Jona Nido on the track.
