Hailing from Örebro, Sweden, shoegaze band Kallsup has announced the release of their latest single, Golfströmmen, a hauntingly beautiful track which sets the stage for their anticipated debut album, En sista rädning, arriving on March 28th, 2025 via VÅRØ.
Golfströmmen explores the metaphysics of blinders and the struggle to connect with something elusive and hopeless. Musically, the song features pulsating heavy guitars which lead the emotive vocals in a lovely progression.
Kallsup’s music combines shoegaze’s dreamy atmospherics with a visceral, unrelenting energy, creating a sound which feels immersive and profoundly moving. From start to finish, the single hints at the remarkable potential of their upcoming album, leaving high hopes for what’s to come.
The band’s lineup includes Eline Gustafsson (vocals), Edwin Karolczak (guitar), Carl Libert (vocals, guitar), William Ulff (bass), Elin Lindström Svernby (synth), and Joakim Jakobsson (drums).
