A rather wistful piece based on a post punk foundation, Anhedonia is an attempt to capture the weight of the world with an infectious melodic direction which amplifies the overarching sense of emptiness and discontent. It's an engaging journey, transforming displeasure into something nearly spiritualistic.
Korine once again blends their expertise in melodic synthpop and darkwave with subtle post punk elements, giving way to a sound that's both atmospheric and uplifting.
