Fawns of Love: Silly Boy (2024 Version)

Bakersfield-based post punk duo Fawns of Love, composed of Jenny and Joseph Andreotti, are set to unveil a re-recorded and remastered version of their 2017 album Who Cares About Tomorrow. The new version marks the album’s first proper vinyl release, offering a fresh take on the duo’s signature ethereal sound.

Fawns of Love have continually refined their sound with each release, drawing inspiration from the lush, reverb-drenched dreamscapes of Cocteau Twins, while utilizing melodic guitar leads and pulsating sequences. Their previous album, Fear the Softest Gaze, released on Kingfisher Bluez, featured collaborations with legendary figures like Calvin Johnson (Beat Happening) and Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins).

The newly updated Who Cares About Tomorrow opens with Silly Boy, a track which immediately sets a dreamy and immersive tone. Layered post punk guitars, richly textured synths, and airy, melancholic vocals blend finely to create a rich, ultra-melodic approach to dreampop, one that defines the album’s atmospheric depth.
