Engineered and mixed by Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City) and Chris Common (These Arms Are Snakes), Reflections and Criticisms marks the first new music in ten years from post hardcore band Mercy Ties. The album will be released on March 28th, 2025 on The Ghost Is Clear Records.
The music video for Survivor's Guilt was recorded while the band was touring Europe in 2017 with French powerhouse Birds in Row. Since their early rise in the 2010s, Mercy Ties have been a steadfast hope for the genre, and their comeback is eagerly awaited.
"We needed to take a break," says vocalist Andre Sanabria. "We were all facing tensions for various reasons and needed some space. Other aspects of life were pulling us away."
The band's urgency is aptly conveyed by Survivor's Guilt, which is a powerful song that hits hard from beginning to end.
