Italian post-punk force Kill Your Boyfriend return with a new offering steeped in rhythm, menace, and catharsis. The duo's upcoming EP Disco Kills lands May 9th, 2025 via Sister 9 Recordings, and they’ve unveiled another taste in the form of the shadowy, pulsating track Discretion.
Discretion focuses on the fragility of control when truth is absent; how silence and secrecy can unravel the very structures built to contain them. It’s a track that thrives in the tension between restraint and release, bathed in thick layers of echo and reverb, bringing forward a noir-tinted soundscape.
Shot by Alice Lorenzon, the accompanying video conjures the frantic claustrophobia of the music's sound and concept. It's a strobe-lit confession booth where the self is laid bare and finally free from the sterile fictions of the real world.
