Tan Cologne drift further into the ether with their latest offering, Cloud of Mirrors, the first glimpse into the duo's forthcoming third full length, Unknown Beyond, arriving June 20th, 2025 via Labrador Records.
Lauren Green and Marissa Macias, have long been architects of dream-laden soundscapes tied to the New Mexico desert's stillness and myth. From here, Unknown Beyond takes the band to new directions.
Cloud of Mirrors signals a new sonic chapter as Tan Cologne lean into the shimmer of electronic layers, enveloping their signature reverb-heavy guitars and hypnotic rhythms in a more shadowlike approach.
The band explains: “'Cloud of Mirrors' is about life happening to you and having to deal with whatever is handed to you – a chemtrail above, being 'over it,' knowing we are all interconnected and a part of the disaster and the beauty. The idea that we are a mirrored image of the sky – manmade or natural, or even simulated. A reflection of everything around you being internally present."
